kites

I heard from Josh that he'd been working on kites.

Back in the day, some folks at MITERS were really psyched about kiteboarding.  They built a bunch of kites and boards, some of which are still around.

Me and Josh have been flying his kite and one of the old kites.  We're learning a lot about rigging and how to deal with tangles.  There were a few attempts to go kite-snowboarding, but things didn't start work out until today.
